Education
B.S. Veterinary Science, University of Arizona.
Research project
The role and regulation of the Ras-mTORC2 pathway in breast cancer cell migration.
Bio
I grew up in southeastern Arizona and did my undergraduate studies in veterinary science at the University of Arizona, but decided my calling was cancer biology research! I did an internship studying osteoclast differentiation in the lab of Cindy Miranti at the University of Arizona Cancer Center, and am now excited to be pursuing my PhD and studying breast cancer cell migration in the Charest lab.
When I’m not in the lab, I’m spending time with my lab (mix) Lani, who has her own Advanced degree from PetSmart training. I also enjoy hiking, horse-back riding, or attending musicals with family when I have the chance.
