Bio

Hi! My name is Ria and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am completing both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology here at the University of Arizona. As an undergraduate, I conducted research in the field of virology and studied the molecular mechanisms of HPV infection. In my time as a master's student, I am looking forward to furthering my understanding of the role of Ras in the mTORC2 cell migration pathway in breast cancer. When not in lab, you can find me at the movies, trying new restaurants, or volunteering around town.

Research project

Investigating the the regulation of mechanistic Target of Rapamycin Complex 2 (mTORC2) by wild-type versus oncogenic Ras.
