Genesis graduated!

April 2024. Genesis defended his PhD dissertation on the role of the small GTPase Rap1 in regulating the mechanistic Target of Rapamycin Complex 2 (mTORC2). Congratulations Dr. Cahigas!

October 2023. Alyssa successfully defended her dissertation and is graduating! She is now starting her scientific writing career and we wish her all the best on this new adventure!

2023 KEYS intern poster session

2023 summer KEYS intern Trinity Le presents her poster at the program's poster session in July. trinity worked with staff scientist AFM Tariq Islam on generating phosphorylation mutants for the Dictyostelium chemoattractant receptor cAR1. Nitant and Ray's graduation!
May 2023. The group celebrated Nitant and Ray's graduation and wished them farewell with a party at Funtasticks! We raced in go carts, battled in the bumper boats and laser tag, and tested our skills on the ropes course!

We had such a great time, I think this will become a classic! Between the mini golf, the go carts, and bumper boats, the most fun was probably the bumper boats where we really had a blast ganging up on Matthew and Pearce :-)
They might disagree this was the most fun, though, but it's just water guys!! And all it took to completely dry off was one go cart race!

We had a fun white elephant gift exchange, with some gifts that were a lot more popular than others, as always! Also, some people didn't get the memo about the Holiday sweater theme... ;-)
2016 Annual International Dicty Meeting
The Charest group organized the 2016 Annual International Dicty Meeting, which took place at Westward Look Resort and Spa in Tucson, July 31-June 4.
Spring 2016 graduating students
